Pretrial Conference Explained!

Video Transcript

What can you expect in a pretrial conference for your serious injury car accident case? The pretrial conference is usually with a trial judge or a judge in the courthouse. And it is meant for a last-ditch effort to try to resolve your serious injury case before trial. You can expect that you and your lawyer will go to court and meet with the judge. And the at-fault driver will also go to court with their lawyer and meet with a judge. And you will all be in the same room with the judge trying to resolve the case. This is a time when both parties will talk about the number of witnesses that will be presented at trial, the specific documents that will be admitted into evidence at trial, and as well talk about the duration of how long the trial will take. And again the judge is doing this not just to anticipate the length of your trial for your car accident case, but hopefully, negotiating with the parties to see if your case can actually settle pretrial. If you have any questions for me about the pretrial conference process for a car accident case or how an injured victim can bring a personal injury claim, feel free to call me. I do this every single day and I'd love to answer any questions that you may have. Thank you.
