What persons can bring a wrongful death claim in Maryland arising out of one of their family members being killed in a truck accident they were involved in?

In Maryland and most other states, there's a very limited amount of people and types of persons that can successfully bring a wrongful death claim in the state of Maryland arising out of a truck accident.

The people are restricted as follows: Number one, surviving parents of the injured victim, the deceased person. Number two, surviving biological children of the deceased person. And number three, a surviving spouse, a surviving husband and wife of the deceased person.

Any of these persons can successfully bring a wrongful death claim arising out of a truck accident for the emotional distress and significant pain and suffering they've had from the time of the accident and they will endure through the remainder of their life because their family member is no longer here.

It is so critically important that specifically in a wrongful death claim arising out of a truck accident, trucking companies and the truck drives insurance companies will not play nice. To them, they're going to see it as well, potentially a very large payout for their negligent drivers negligence causing the death of the family member.
