Video Transcript:
What are some things that seriously injured victim should do if they're seriously injured while riding an e-scooter or electric bike in the state of Maryland?
If somebody is injured while they're riding an e-scooter at no fault of their own and they're struck by an at-fault motorist, they have the same rights as if they were driving a car, walking in the street, or riding a bicycle.
The E-scooter motorist should immediately do a few things. Ensure that they call the police so the investigating police officer comes to the scene and speaks to everybody involved and makes report. They should immediately get contact information for any eyewitnesses who actually saw the E-scooter motorist accident take place.
They should immediately consult an experienced personal injury lawyer to represent them. A lot of times insurance companies will deny or unreasonably delay serious injury E-Scooter motorist claims because they believe the E-scooter motorist may be partially at fault for the accident.
And finally, the injured victim should seek immediate medical attention whether it's going to a hospital, urgent care center, and then following up with the treatment that their doctors prescribe. If you have any questions regarding how an E-scooter injured victim can bring a serious injury motor vehicle accident.
