Why are eyewitness statements so incredibly important for an injured victim if the injured victim wants to bring a personal injury claim arising out of a t-bone accident they were involved in?

The answer is very simple. T-bone accidents are usually highly contested in the state of Maryland.

They happen in traffic intersections with traffic lights, red stop signs, maybe no stop signs at all. And usually, they turn into he said, she said situation. One driver will say they were going through the intersection lawfully, and they got hit.

And the other driver will say the exact same thing. They were traveling maybe through a green light or stopped at a red stop sign and went through and got hit by the other car. An independent eyewitness statement, even one of them, can move the needle.

If an independent eyewitness, somebody who wasn't in the car, not a family member, not a friend, can testify they actually saw the accident take place, it will go an extremely long way for the injured victim in proving to the at-fault driver's insurance company who in fact was at fault for the accident.

The eyewitness testifies and provides a statement that the other driver is currently at fault, making it a lot easier for the injured victim to bring the personal injury claim.
