Why is it so incredibly important to get photographs immediately after somebody has suffered severe injuries from a slip and fall incident? Slip and fall incidents are very common in Maryland, and many people bring personal injury claims for them.

However, what most people don't know is that they are very, very, very difficult to prove in the state of Maryland for various reasons, including the Contributory Negligence Law in Maryland.

However, if somebody wants to bring a slip and fall premises liability case against a property owner, a property manager, a school, a restaurant, you name it, it is so critical that they do two things.

Number one, immediately after the incident happens, they can take photographs of everything. The photographs of the area where they fell, the photographs of the surrounding areas around where they fell, and the photographs of the outside.

They need to take as many photographs as they can to document and substantiate their trip and fall injuries and how they actually underwent the trip and fall that was not their fault.

Number two, they should, every single time, create an incident report and hand it to the property owner or property manager or school or restaurant's representative.

Writing an incident report right then and there, signing off on it, taking your own account of exactly what happened at that time, and ensuring that the other side, the owner or manager of the property, has something in hand from you is so incredibly critical and goes a long way in proving your slip and fall personal injury case.
