Statute of Limitations in Maryland

The statute of limitations is a legal term of art and what it means is the amount of time that the injured victim has to file a lawsuit in a Maryland state court against the at-fault party whether it's a motor vehicle accident or negligence security or wrongful death. Only with the exception of extraordinary circumstances, 99.9% of the time, the injured victim has 3 years from the date of the incident or accident to file a lawsuit in court against the at-fault party. For example hypothetically, if somebody got into a car accident on January 1st, 2023 and they want to bring the lawsuit against the at-fault driver that injured victim has until January 1st, 2026 to file a lawsuit in court against the at-fault driver. If the injured victim fails to do this within that three-year time period, the injured victim cannot under any circumstances, bring a lawsuit for a personal injury claim against the at-fault driver. That's why it's so incredibly important to file a lawsuit against the at-fault party as quickly as you can. If you or a loved one have any questions for me regarding how an injured victim can file a lawsuit in court against an at-fault party, feel free to call me. I do this every single day and I'd love to answer any questions that you may have.
