Video Transcript:
What is Maryland's Boulevard Rule, and why is Maryland's Boulevard Rule so critical as it relates to serious injury car accident claims?
Maryland's Boulevard Rule is very simple.
Any car or motor vehicle that is pulling out of a parking lot or shopping center or alleyway, and that is turning or attempting to turn onto the main road, the car that's pulling out of the shopping center or parking lot has to yield the right of way to all cars and motor vehicles that are already driving on the main road.
These are basic rules of the road, and Maryland calls it the "Boulevard Rule". If an injured victim is driving on a main road and somebody comes out of a parking lot or shopping center or alleyway and strikes them, it is so critical that the injured victim immediately consult and retain an experienced personal injury lawyer because they have a claim.
The at-fault driver in this scenario would be the driver pulling out of the shopping center or parking lot. And their own insurance company will fight tooth and nail to defend the case and bring any defense they possibly have to devalue and discredit the injured victim's claim.
Namely, they could actually say that the injured victim was speeding at the time of the accident. If you have any questions regarding how an injured victim can bring a serious injury, car accident claim in the state of Maryland, feel free to call me.
I do this every single day. I'm gonna love to answer any questions you may have. Thank you.
