What should I do if I get into a car accident and suffer injuries, and the other driver says that the accident was my fault? This happens all the time, and the answer is very simple. If you suffered severe injuries in a car accident that you believe was the other driver's fault, but they're blaming you, you need to consult and retain an experienced personal injury lawyer immediately.

The reason is that even if you try to negotiate with the other driver's insurance company, they're going to deny the claim. They're going to say, well, look, our insured, the other driver, says that you are at fault. Thus, we're gonna deny your claim. When this happens, you need to consult and retain an experienced personal injury lawyer who will file a lawsuit against the other driver on your own behalf and go through the litigation process.

This could include getting police reports, eyewitness statements, getting all your medical records and bills, and any lost wage paperwork related to your personal injury claim. Again, this is not unusual, and don't be nervous if the other driver is blaming you for causing the accident where you suffered severe injuries. Simply get a lawyer and go from there.
